My wife, Maren, and I are high school sweethearts who have been married for 22 years and are proud parents of two incredible sons. Our journey brought us to California’s Central Coast after I transitioned into a new career following my honorable discharge from the United States Army.

I served in the U.S. Army for 5 years and 8 months, including two overseas deployments. After my second deployment, I was humbled to receive the

Bronze Star Medal for exceptionally meritorious service.

The Army’s core values—Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage—continue to guide both my life and my work.

In 2020, amid many challenges, Maren and I took a leap of faith and launched M4 Specialties, LLC, pursuing a lifelong dream of building something meaningful together.

November 2025, Maren and I were able to take our sons to Washington, D.C.—a trip we had

only dreamed of sharing with them.

As a U.S. Army Veteran, walking our nation’s capital and sharing the history, sacrifices, and freedoms that define our country was deeply meaningful. Watching our sons stand at memorials, hear the stories behind them, and understand the weight of service and sacrifice was a moment our family will cherish forever. It was more than a trip; it was a chance to pass on values, gratitude, and perspective that

we hope will stay with them for a lifetime.

In 2026, M4 Specialties will keep working hard to carry those same values forward—serving with integrity, honoring our commitments, and building lasting relationships rooted in trust and respect. We remain dedicated to providing dependable solutions, personalized service, and a mission-driven approach to every partnership.

M4 Specialties Team Update - Entering 2026 with Gratitude!

As we step into 2026, our hearts are full of gratitude and pride both for our growing business and our growing family.

M4 Specialties continues to move forward with purpose, focusing on strengthening partnerships, pursuing new contract opportunities, and refining our operations to better serve our clients. As a small but mighty micro DVBE, we remain committed to providing essential goods with excellent customer service while building a strong, sustainable future.

This year marks an exciting milestone for our family. Owen will be graduating from Chico State with a degree in Construction Management and has been honored with a job offer from Underground Construction in Benicia, California. In January 2026, he also had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in Santiago, Chile—gaining valuable exposure to large-scale projects and international construction practices. We are beyond proud of his hard work, growth, and dedication.

At home, we’re preparing for another big moment—Kos turns 16 in January, which means we’ll soon have another licensed driver in the house. He was honored to be invited to play Varsity Football during the 2025 playoff season, while the Arroyo Grande JV Football team earned the CIF Section Championship title. As he heads into track and field season, Kos is gearing up for shot put and discus, continuing to work hard both on and off the field.
